Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended for pain relief, increasing range of motion, optimizing flexibility, relaxing muscles, and improving body awareness. Fascia are seamless webs of connective tissue that cover and connect the muscles, organs, and skeletal system from head to toe. There are many things that can contribute to problems with fascia and muscle tissue: injuries, poor posture, bad biomechanics, inflammation, etc. I have been teaching this type of work for almost 20 years. It has kept me injury and pain free. Besides, who doesn’t enjoy a nice backrub?
